In October we went to Icheon for the Rice Festival. This area produces the best rice in South Korea and in the past this is where the King always got his rice from. The festival was in a beautiful park called Icheon Exhibition Park. There is a beautiful lake and many modern sculptures.

Icheon is also famous for it's pottery. We visited the big pottery shop. Personally I don't like the traditional brown or green pottery (I prefer blue and white), but it is still very beautiful and of a high standard.

In the park there were many exhibitions and stalls. The traditiional art of straw sandals and straw animal figures is very interesting, but unfortunately none was for sale. There were also traditional dancers and music shows. It was really very interesting.
